We're a small team of Iraqi architects, engineers and operators who believe every property deserves to be explored — not just photographed.
Our beginning
Born from a thesis, raised by necessity
In 2020, Aws Al-Saigh — an architect with eight years of experience in high-end residential construction — founded Hawsr. The journey began during COVID-19: studying for a master's degree under the Erasmus Mundus program across Italy, Portugal and Slovenia, Aws found his studies interrupted by pandemic restrictions. Unwilling to let circumstances dictate his path, he transformed his thesis work into a pioneering venture.
Hawsr was born out of necessity, ingenuity, and a deep understanding of the construction and real-estate sectors. In 2023 — after first experiencing Hawsr as a customer — Sarah Al-Ramadany, an MBA and civil engineer well known in Iraq's business ecosystem, joined the company, bringing her passion for startups and a firsthand customer perspective.
Today, Hawsr feels more like a family than a workplace. We prioritize quality over quantity, value our reputation above all, and grow a team of exceptional Iraqi talent committed to excellence.
Our vision
To democratize access to advanced virtual tours for everyone building and selling homes across Iraq and the MENA region — and to grow Hawsr into a technology powerhouse known for attracting exceptional engineers.
Our technology
Our web-based platform is developed entirely in-house — no third-party licenses, no white labels. We build on open-source libraries and actively contribute back to the ecosystem we rely on.
